Lucy Shaw trained at Leith’s School of Food and Wine before specialising in sugar work. She studied at Squire’s International School of Cake Decorating and Sugarcraft, with additional study under Maisie Parrish, the internationally renowned sugar art designer and teacher. The quality and character of Maisie’s work was her principle inspiration, and many of Maisie’s techniques are used in Lucy Shaw Cakes designs. In spring 2006 Lucy took first prize in the novice novelty cake competition at the Squires Cake Decorating, Chocolate and Sugarcraft Exhibition. She established Lucy Shaw Cakes with the aim of using her craftsmanship to create interesting and elegant designs on delicious cake bases. For more pictures and news, click here
